Seth Sherwood Jr '18 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Seth Sherwood, I'm a rising senior in high school and row out of the Occoquan River for Forest Park High School in Northern Virginia. I'm looking to row at a college that provides the best competitive experience and matches me as a student. I'm a very coachable rower with large aspirations and excel in leadership positions. I've been a captain of my team for the last 2 years of my rowing career. I also work with the team off the water frequently and work well as a team member. I'm dedicated to the sport and train year round to improve. I enjoy testing myself and improving upon my rowing abilities.

Growing up as a military child has allowed me opportunities to grow as a person that many others never had. I've moved 9 times and have experienced cultures that have shaped who I am as both an athlete and student. Having lived around the world has allowed me to stand out in a crowd and make an impact on my community and team around me. 

Overall, I'm looking for a college life that allows me to enjoy rowing and at the same time give me an an opportunity to pursue my interests as a student. I'm looking for an academic experience that allows me to give back as much as it gives to me.
