After high school, I plan to earn a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and play college lacrosse. After college, my goal is to be a helicopter pilot in the US Marine Corps. My family has a military background and it will be a great honor to serve my country. My dedication to academics, sports, friends and family will provide the tools I need to accomplish my goals.
As a student athlete, my efforts are 110 percent, in the classroom and on the field. I am always the first guy to the locker room and the last guy off the field. I have received many awards for athletic leadership. I am currently captain of the football team and was selected by my teammates after only one season at a new high school. After playing lacrosse for only one season, I was awarded All-Conference. This shows that I am a quick learner, very coachable, fast, and smart with the ball. I have received positive media attention since I started at St John’s NW Military Academy (SJNMA) and have included a clip from a local Milwaukee news station. This clip is from a recent football game where I scored two touchdowns – one for seventy-five yards and another for fifty-six. I have that "break away speed" that is critical to men’s lacrosse. I am a very enthusiastic player; I never give up and I play with 100 percent effort until the whistle is blown. I have gotten awards for the most cheering and enthusiastic player out of my entire school; I have a lot of heart when it comes to the sport I love.
In addition to my athletic accomplishments, I have experienced success academically. At the end of my sophomore year, I made a decision to leave my friends and family to complete high school at SJMNA, a military boarding school two hours away from home. I chose to do this because I wanted to focus on my academics and SJNMA better fit my personal academic needs. This was no easy task, but the results speak for themselves. I have made the Dean’s list and maintained a 3.0 GPA since starting there my junior year. I am currently enrolled in AP Engineering and Honors Biology and my current semester GPA is a 3.8/4.0. I have turned my academic career around and have developed the skills, dedication and knowledge required to continue successes in the future.
