My name is Samuel Snider. I am a 16 year old rising junior at University High School in Morgantown, WV.
I am looking for a college with a program in pre-professional/undergraduate engineering. After undergraduate studies, I hope to start a career in medicine with my long term goal of working in the sports medicine and rehabilitation field.
I am looking for a College lacrosse team that will give me the chance to develop my lacrosse game and become the best lacrosse player I can be. I look forward to being part of a team that allows me to contribute to that team while developing teamwork and leadership skills on and off the field. I was lucky enough to participate in summer NSLC camps in both pre med and engineering as well as WV HOBY. I am involved in student council, model UN, youth in government at my high school. I was fortunate enough to be named assistant captain as a sophomore on both my travel and high school hockey teams. I am currently captain of my high school varsity hockey team. I have played both lacrosse and hockey at the varsity level since my freshman year.
Volunteering is very important to me and I hope to continue this in college. I currently volunteer at my local teen court and help as a youth volunteer for a squirt level hockey team at my local rink.
I am a very hard worker. My work experience includes working as an ice hockey referee since the age of 11. I began as level 1 and progressed thus far to level 2. I was named the youth winner of the Barnum award this past season. The Barnum award recognizes the Referee who has had the best overall performance as voted upon by fellow youth and adult referees.
I have played lacrosse since the age of 12 for the youth feeder team prior to starting high school and still play for the same club team. The club teams name is 304 ELITE. I work out at the local cross fit gym between seasons.
