Andrew Birkhoff '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'2", 180 pound junior goalie from Roanoke, VA and will graduate in 2011. I have been starting on varsity since the 8th grade and have started for two all-star teams. I have a career save percentage of over 60% and a 3.7 GPA. I transferred to Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, VA in hopes of winning a state title and getting recognized at the state level. I previously played for South County, a club team from Roanoke, Va. I am interested in a school with both high athletic and academic standards. Ideally I would like to play DI lacrosse, but being more realistic, I would of course play DII and DIII. I am open to all geographic locations, however, the east coast would be preferred. Although I would like a large student body, I would still enjoy a smaller school which could offer a more personal connection to my professors. It is important that I not only play four years of college lacrosse, but that I also get a good education.
