Ever since my youth football and lacrosse days I have enjoyed the competition, teamwork, practices and hard work. My first love was football and I was fortunate to have both individual and team success. We won 3 county championships and one regional championship – and I was privileged to serve as captain. When I entered high school I played on the freshman football team and started both ways. Our record was poor – but we won our last game – our only win - and I had a tremendous role in that game with multiple sacks and a fumble recovery. I won the Cavalier Award that season – which is like the MVP award. I then made the varsity football team as the starting linebacker sophomore year.
I also had success in youth lacrosse where my last two seasons we won 2 county championships and went undefeated. I was proud to serve and be selected as captain on those teams. I was very proud to make the varsity lacrosse team as a freshman in high school. We had a great team my freshman year and we made it to the state semi-finals. I saw some playing time and improved a great deal. Unfortunately, I was injured so my football career ended and I missed most of my sophomore lacrosse season. I participated with the lacrosse varsity team as an assistant coach last year until I was cleared to play the last few games. During the summer I had always focused on football and for the first time last summer I entered the world of summer club lacrosse. As my head lacrosse coach has stated I have been “under the radar screen” due to my prior focus on football and my injury last year. I am an intense, disciplined and hard working athlete who is also a great teammate. I love the spirit of competition and look forward to this recruiting season where I can display my talents and experience the excitement of choosing a college to play for – for the next four years. For my 2012 season at W.T. Woodson I was named first team all district and second team all region. Woodson is currently (5-16-12) the 90th ranked high school by LaxPower.
