Ryan O'Kane '11 Recruiting Profile

I began my college search early, in fact once Sophomore year came to a close I began visiting colleges. My intent was to find a college that was the right fit for me academically and athletically. During the summer and into the fall, I went to visit several colleges and universities, some who reached out because they saw me at a summer tournament, others because I had an interest. I joined NCSA to help with the recruiting process, to get my name out further then I would be able to do myself. Because of them and other recruiting sites, I received a lot of interest, I followed up with visits and communication. However, I wanted to stick with my priority, the major Athletic Training and eventual major of Physical Therapy. A lacrosse program which needed offensive help and the best chance to play. In October I decided on Neumann University, a local university, which has an outstanding Athletic Training program, Physical Therapy program and a lacrosse team which is building to be competitive with the other local lacrosse teams. It was a privilege to go through the process and I enjoyed every bit of it.
