Personal Statement

My name is Corey McAndrew, and I believe that I have what it takes to play goalie at the collegiate level.  I have been playing lacrosse for nearly 7 years.   It is by far my favorite thing to do.  I also play hockey,  as a goalie for 13 years, and Alternate Captain for two.  This year I worked with my school's football program for weight training and reps.

Being an Eagle scout, I firmly understand what it takes to be a leader in and out of the classroom.  Having served as an Alternate Captain for two years, I am a proven team leader.  I believe that I would be a great addition to any team,  setting, or style, and certainly any school.

Achieving in the classroom is just as important as achieving on the field, and it is a necessity for me to keep my grades outstanding, as shown on my transcript.  Being a dual-sport athlete, eagle scout, and high scholastic performer of my class have all matured and readied me to take on the college athlete lifestyle.

I have a very unique style of play, as I am a bigger athlete, which does not take away from my speed, quickness, or reaction time.  I am extremely hard working, committed, responsible, respectful, and creative.   My creativity is blatant on the field, thanks to my experiences with hockey.

I am highly confident that I would bring energy and commitment to any team, and would be a great choice and fit for many schools.  Thank you for your time and effort, and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely,

        Corey McAndrew

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
