Andrew Jaciuk '17 Recruiting Profile

Welcome and thank you for reading my profile.  I have been playing lacrosse since I was 11 years old and love this sport. Playing lacrosse at a higher level while obtaining an education would be an exciting opportunity.  It is my desire to be a student who wants to combine strong academic experiences with opportunities to play the sport I love.  Presently I have a 87% average at the end of my Freshman year and strive to maintain my honour roll status.

I am a strong defensemen who is not afraid to move the ball up field.  You will get a hardworking, self-motivated and team oriented player who strives to meet his goals academically, as well as meet the team’s goals to succeed.

My coaches have commented that I am a very coachable athlete and a pleasure to have on their team.  When I play, I play to win every time.  My parents have raised me to be always respectful, maintain high integrity and always work hard in everything I do.  I honour my parents by always displaying these character traits when I am on or off the field or in the classroom.

Another trait I have is leadership.  As team Captain in my midget year playing hockey, I was able to demonstrate my leadership abilities.  In addition, I volunteer my personal time by teaching other kids to learn how to skate and help out during house league lacrosse tournaments.

I can assure accepting schools they will be receiving a solid citizen and leader, a high achieving intelligent student-athlete and a future graduate that will embrace the school’s virtues and traditions.   After graduation, it is my intent to attend Medical or Dental school.
