I am Nick DeFrancesco, Goalie, Class of 2017. I would like to play college lacrosse while completing a degree at a respected college or university. Although I am not completely set on my major, I am planning a focus in Business (Accounting and/or Finance), Math and/or Statistics. My preferred career path is in Financial management.
I just completed my Junior year as the starting Varsity Goalie at Panther Creek High School in Morrisville, North Carolina. We compete in the toughest and largest school Lacrosse conference in our state (includes 3 of top 10 schools ranked by LaxPower). This past year as a Junior, my overall save percentage was 55.4% in 17 games with a GAA of 7.0 on 269 shots against and had 4 games with 14+ saves. Three of which were against teams that went at least to the 3rd round of the 2016 state playoffs, including 18 against the defending State Champion, Apex, (ranked 2nd in State) and 19 against Holly Springs (ranked 13th in the State). I also played Varsity as a Sophomore and as a Freshman, was the starting goalie on our JV team that went 10-2-1 and was named an MVP of the team by the coaches.
I continue to challenge myself academically by primarily taking Honors and AP classes and have a 4.3 cumulative weighted GPA (on a 4.0 scale) at Panther Creek High School, recently ranked #3 in Top Ranked High Schools in North Carolina (US News Best High Schools Ranking), through my Junior year (unweighted GPA is 3.4/4.0). Further, 17 of my 24 classes taken have been either Honors or AP level classes and have an overall composite score of 28 on my ACT.
I am also a well-rounded athlete who plays a variety of sports, however lacrosse is the only sport I play competitively and am active in extra-curricular activities. Thank you for reading my bio and I hope that you will consider me for your School and Lacrosse program.
