I am a very hardworking individual, I realize that my grades are just as important as my game. I play all year round and I am constantly looking for new ways to elevate my game.
I come from a football background so I love to use my body. I bring a physical presence in front of the crease, I hit hard and legally whenever possible. My physical presence is just another weapon to the arsenal a defense has. I am also very good on ground balls, I realize possession is key in lacrosse. I am a force on the clear, I can get the ball on a clear dodge an attackmen and turn a great defensive stop into a fastbreak. I love to bring the ball over midfield, I even rack up a few assists here and there. I am also the loudest one on the field, I realize how important communication is, I know where everyone has to be and what they should be doing, I am always calling out slides making sure everyone knows what they should be doing. If there is a communication error it can result in a quick goal so I make sure everyone knows whats going on. I can play both man and zone defense and I have the ability to recognize an offensive formation and what an offense is doing and I am able to adjust accordingly. I have a very good knowledge of the sport, I am constantly watching lacrosse on tv trying to learn from the pros observing what they're doing and then try to apply it to my own game.
What defines me as a person is my leadership skills. I am a leader both on and off the field. I pump my team up before games and during halftime. I tell my team never to give up and I never give up. I will never go down without a fight, I leave it all on the field and will never walk away from a game thinking I could have done more or played harder. Another thing that sets me apart from all the rest is starting when I am 16 I will be working as a volunteer junior fireman for my local fire department.
I am a lacrosse player down to the core and I wear my heart on my sleeve. Lacrosse is my life.
