My name is Alec Mintz and I am currently entering my Junior at Red Bank Catholic HS in NJ (2016). I have developed a love for the game and am constantly working to improve. I spend time every day working on my skills especially my off hand. As a Freshman I earned a starting position on my HS JV team and was the leading scorer on my team assisting as much as scoring. I played in my first Varsity game as a freshman and scored my first Varsity goal. As a sophomore I started at attack and help lead my team to the playoffs in both our conference and the state. I am a lefty shooter but have developed my off hand and can use either. I also play Varsity Ice Hockey for my HS.
My current GPA is 3.0/4.0. I am working hard to improve my average and take all Advance College Prep courses. I have not yet taken my SAT or ACT tests but plan on doing so this year. At this time I am unsure of what I want my Major to be in college. I have interest in communications, Physical Therapy, Business and possibly Criminology.
Athletically I have played Football up until 8th grade where I had to choose between football or Ice Hockey. I have been playing competitive Ice Hockey since I was 5 yrs old. I have been fortunate to play on very competitive teams and have competed in my age group National Championships 3 times. Once coming in third and once coming in second after losing in the championship game. I mention this because these experiences have taught me how to handle pressure and compete on the most pressure filled stage. I first picked up a Lacrosse stick at 8 yrs old and have been playing ever since. I played Rec lacrosse for a local program called the Maveriks in NJ which has produced a number of top quality Division 1 players. Recently I moved to Team United where this will be my third year playing for them. I have been timed at 4.65 in the 40 yrd dash and recently recorded the second fastest time in the 5-10-5 run at a showcase In Pennsylvania that was attended by 170 athletes.
In closing I am a hard working, driven competitor that has a will to succeed in anything I do from the class room to the athletic field. I appreciate you taking the time to read my profile and look at my video.
