Personal Statement

UPDATE MAY, '15:  WE DID IT!!!  OUR GOAL REACHED!!  Southern Regional Boys Lacrosse won the SCT (Shore Conference Tournament) by beating four-time defending RFH High School 16-6.  We became first Ocean county team to win the championship over a Monmouth County team and it was our school's first time winning the title.  The Shore Conf. has 33 teams within the league with many great schools.  We are 16-0 so far this season and now head into SJ Group IV playoffs.  We've had our younger guys step up and play awesome and contribute big time.    Reached personal goal in same week by passing 100 goals, 100 assists and 200 total points.  Earned Student of the Month for April, 2015 and the award it presented to one student of both senior and junior classes total over 900 students.  Award presented by local Rotary Club.  I've also settle on attending Virginia Tech to pursue engineering and looking forward to my next stop in education.

UPDATE FEBRUARY, '15:  Winter indoor league wrapping up in a week.  Still perfect attendance during all of high school.  Have not missed a single day in 3 1/2 years of high school.  Still ranked 11th in my class.  Very excited about senior year of lacrosse.  I have big team goals and personal goals.

UPDATED OCTOBER, '14:  Still have not missed a single day of high school.  Perfect attendance and that is my goal when senior year ends. Fall LAX coming to an end while football season has has another six weeks. Playing D-Back and Special Teams.

UPDATED Athletic Press Release and Club Team sections.

UPDATE JUNE, '14:  Finished 2014 high school season. We went 20-3 with two championships and two 2nd place finishes.  I'm very proud we finished best ever season in program history (20-3), that I was selected 1st Team All-Division, 1st Team All-Shore Conference, and U.S. Lacrosse All-American.  2014 All-New Jersey, All-Junior Second Team.  Finished season ranked fifth in Shore Conference with 91 total points.

UPDATE APRIL, '14:  My father figured out through two web sites that I am fifth in the Shore Conference, which has 33 boys lax teams, in total points and two fellow teammates hold 1st and 4th place as of COB May 8th.  Listed as one of five players to watch in the Shore Conference in New Jersey.  Came as a shock and neat to see.  I am in the company of some highly skilled players.

UPDATE MARCH, '14:  Inducted as a member of the World Language Honor Society as a student of Latin.  Now in my junior season, I have been selected as a team captain this year by our coaching staff.  Inducted as a member of the National Honor Society in the Helm Chapter.

UPDATE FEB 28, '14:  Another goal obtained; I was accepted into the National Honor Society this week, which was a huge goal of mine.  I was accepted into the World Language Honor Society this week too while in my third year of Latin.  Finished box lacrosse and indoor 8-on-8 lax this week.  Box lax was a lot of fun and the league kept stats.  I was happy to finished 2nd in points and goals on my team while earning 7th and 5th points and goals respectively.

UPDATE JAN 27, '14: Earned a spot on the South Jersey Team for the The Pride of NJ Showcase within the Brine National Lacrosse Classic in 2014.  Box LAX (travel team) and indoor LAX (high school team) going well this winter.   Application for the National Honor Society completed.

UPDATE NOV 06, '13: New class standing, 11 out of 518.  ALL A's first quarter in junior year AP and Honors courses, Fall LAX season over and waiting for winter leagues to start (a box league and full team indoor league).  Football season ending in early December and will take SAT on Dec., 7th.  ACT will be in December too.    MVP Tournament at Rider University on 10 November with Leading Edge South 15/16 team, which I was able to have seven goals and four assists in three games.  Updated my academics and athletic sections of my profile.

I've been lucky enough to have found lacrosse in fifth grade and have played the last six years.  Playing lacrosse has sparked a huge desire to continue my game beyond high school.  My goal is to play at the NCAA level while continuing my academic studies.   My life has been filled with great memories and events from being born in Japan, doing modeling in Japan when I was one year old (credit my mom), to traveling to Germany three times during 2005 to visit my father while he was deployed for 16 months.  Being exposed to different cultures has opened my eyes and mind as well.

My goal as a student is to be within the top 20 of my class upon graduation and I am currently listed as number 11 out of 518 students.  I have perfect attendance since my first day of high school and my goal is to have a perfect attendance for my entire high school career (2 3/4 years down).  I have made the honor roll in every semester of my high school career and have a GPA better then 4.0 (4.14 end of sophomore year).  In middle school, I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society, which I was very proud of.  My goal is to obtain the same status as a high school junior next year (inducted into the National Honor Society in March, 2014).

I'd like to have better then 200 career points during high school; currently I've earned 93 total points as a midfielder who plays both ways.  I wanted to make varsity as a freshman and I accomplished that goal.  I am a natural lefty and that has help my game tremendously.  My other goals are make conference teams and division teams during my career.  Our high school team captured Class A South title and SJ Group IV title in 2013, which I have as a team goal again next season.  Earned Third Team All-State Freshman/Sophomore Class, 2013.

I believe a person, student and athlete must have goals to allow the same person to reach for greatness and lead by example.  Displaying higher character is important to me too.  It is a matter of self-pride and I feel I display excellent qualities as a teenager, student and player.
