Colin Swanson '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Colin Swanson, and I am a member of the graduation class of 2013 at Bishop Guertin High School in Nashua, NH. I am 5’6” and 140 pounds; and I was part of the 2011 NH Division 1 Varsity State Championship team for my high school as a sophomore. I have been playing lacrosse for 9 years at the youth, high school, and club levels. I play for the NH Tomahawks in the summer and fall, attending tournaments across the northeast. 

I have much to offer a college lacrosse team.  I am an exceptionally hard worker, on and off the field. Also, my dedication to the game of lacrosse is evident in my year-round commitment to the sport, trying to always have a stick in my hands.  In addition, I am a team player, always playing in a way that will help each member of my team and for the benefit of the team.

I am looking to go to school in the northeast, especially in Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut or New York, but I will consider any geographic location. I am looking for a small to medium sized school that competes in Division II or III.  Also, I am looking for a college that has very strong academics and that may also be of a Christian denomination. I have not yet completely narrowed my majors down yet, but I am possibly looking at a major that focuses on science or math.

Lastly, my realistic athletic goals are to make an impact on a team, even if it means that I may not be an initial starter. I love playing lacrosse, and I look forward to competing and contributing to a team at the college level.
