My name is Patrick Murphy, I attend Saint Johns High School in Shrewsbury Massachusetts. My goal is straight forward, I would like to play collegiate lacrosse at a strong academic university with a lacrosse program that values teamwork, leadership, hard work, and competition. I feel I would contribute to a school and team because I possess the desire to continually improve, support my teammates and to be the best student-athlete I can be.
One trait that sets me apart from other athletes is to always be a man of character both on and off the field. I take all of my commitments seriously and fulfill them to the best of my ability. I understand that representing a university and team requires a commitment of high moral character on and off the field. This to me means that a player should compete their hardest in every aspect of their lives while at the same time promoting a positive image for the university, the team and yourself.
Currently at Saint Johns as a sophomore I am pushing myself academically. My course load consists of an AP class, three honors courses, and two college prep classes. As a student I realizes that there are courses that come easy to me and those that I have to work at, I found more satisfaction from hard work then that which comes easy to me
You may find more gifted players than me, but you will not find any that are more hardworking . My teammates and coaches count on me for my reliability, work ethic, stick skills, and physical presence.
