Personal Statement

My goal is to play collegiate lacrosse while reaching my fullest potential as an athlete, as a student, and as a person at a school that challenges me on and off the field. I know I can achieve this goal through hard work, selflessness, and the willingness to always improve my game. Not only do I want to contribute on the lacrosse field, but I want to contribute to your school as the best student I can be, and I want to contribute to the community as the best person I can be. Through my years of High School I have carried myself with the idea that, "Respect, hard work, dedication, teamwork and discipline will lead to success on and off the field." I fully intend on carrying this mindset to the college setting as I have seen the rewards that it comes with.

Lacrosse has taught me how to love the process of working hard and improving; as a team and on my own. Lacrosse has also taught me what it means to be a leader and support my teammates to achieve the common goal of winning. That being said, I also believe that success can be measured by more than just winning. In addition to wins, success is achieved through extraordinary character, which to a certain extent is built through sports, however I believe is more so revealed through sports. I like to think that my character, selflessness, dedication and commitment is revealed through the sport of lacrosse, which is what sets me apart from other players.

Thank you for your time and consideration as a possible future lacrosse player for your program.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
