Update: 13-February-2016: Well, I'm back to my short stick for the spring season with my high school team. I've earned a nickname, The Knife, for my "utility" on the field. :) I think it is going to be a great season. With our ending rank at 14 in the state last year, Castle has landed six top 20 games this season:

My family and I are still completing campus visits. Finding the "right" school and "right" lacrosse program is much more challenging than I imagined.
Update 28-October-2016: Moving to D-Pole and LSM has really helped me grow as a player and improve my lacrosse IQ. It is fun to play mid-field and have the opportunity to score but I love the strategy aspects of playing defense and it feels great when I can break up a play and send the ball down the field to my teammates. I'm continuing to work with both a short and long stick in order to improve my versatility and it seems to be paying off as my club team won our first tournament, the Great Midwest Shootout, at the beginning of October.
My name is Kendall Reed. I am 6 foot, weigh 150 pounds and am a lefty. I have played lacrosse since the 6th grade, when I traded in my baseball glove for a lacrosse stick. I have loved it ever since. Running and sprinting are some of the many activities I enjoy, which is why I love to play both short and long stick. This allows me to use my experience playing football, basketball, and soccer to my advantage, focusing on defense and providing the assist to my teammates.
I have a 3.5 cumulative GPA and am working diligently to not just maintain but improve, ensuring that I graduate in the top of my class at Castle High School, an Indiana Four Star school. With mostly honors and advanced placement classes, my schedule is challenging. I feel this is good preparation for success in balancing school and sports in college. I very much want to play college level lacrosse and will not settle to be cut short of my dream. Lacrosse is my passion. Failure is not something I take lightly; I always strive for greatness.
I am investigating programs in math and science, possibly engineering, and would like an atmosphere that gives me many opportunities to better myself and teammates. I want a school where everyone, from the teachers and coaches, to the students and players, is helping to improve the educational experience, providing a good balance between academics, athletics, and other extracurricular activities. Although I would want the teachers and coaches to be the main source of education, I would also enjoy the opportunity to impact other students and the community in a positive way.
