Personal Statement

I picked up a lacrosse stick for the first time five years ago while I played soccer, football, and running track. Despite the enjoyment I received from the other sports, I instantly fell in love with lacrosse. I value the hard work and dedication sports require. As a freshman, I became familiar with the idea of persistence, perseverance, and commitment because of the time I put into the sport so I could make varsity. Over the course of the year I continued to learn lessons in time management as I balanced my straight A's with being a varsity starter on the lacrosse team. During the first half of my sophomore year I continued to dedicate my time as I earned a letter in cross country and continued to have straight A’s. I started on the varsity lacrosse team again but brought my knowledge from the previous year to work harder and earn the Offensive Player of the Year award while continuing to maintain an A average. The intangible skills I learned from my hard work helped me to better myself as a person and as a player.
In college I hope to find a program that can offer a great fit for me academically as well as athletically. I know that through my current experience and future expectations I will be able to positively impact a university's lacrosse program. I offer my time, dedication, and commitment to any program that can make me the better person and player I would like to become.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
