Personal Statement

Coach, from a very young age, even before I found Lacrosse, I've wanted to make collegiate sports a part of my college experience. My initial passion was baseball and hockey. Early coaches put me at catcher and goalie because they knew I would make the play, I would take the hit and I was a leader among my teammates. I'm the kid that wants to play. Today, Lacrosse is my single passion. No one works harder than I do. Success for me is knowing I practiced or played to my peek, I'm a learner who works to improve everyday. I am a student of the game and leader on the field. I've been fortunate growing up; my parents have been great cheerleaders and mentors. My mom is a high school AP English teacher and my education has been my priority since the first grade. My dad is a business leader and he has instilled in me the value of healthy competition. Together they have provided great opportunity and exposure. The Boy Scouts have taught me the importance of personal integrity. Karate has taught me the importance of focus. Academically, I put the same effort into my education as I have in my athletics. Given the opportunity, I will deliver for you, too. When the game is over no one remembers the missed shots, missed ground balls or missed passes however everyone remembers the score. My teammates know I will fight for them; my coaches know that I'll leave it all on the field. Drew Van de Motter

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
