I am glad I have listened to my high school coach and all of his stories/lessons. "If you're not giving 100% in everything you do then what's the point of even doing it? Give everything your greatest and live each day to the fullest." My coach made me a stronger person not only on the field, but outside of school and sports also. I strive to be the greatest in my family and surpass my older brother but at the same time I want my little brother to be more successful because it would be selfish to let him make the same mistakes I did. My goal in life is to give my children the life that I dreamed of and to be courageous in all of my decisions.
My best friend in 4th grade would always talk about lacrosse and I had no idea what that was. After going over to his house and playing catch, I immediately fell in love with the sport. I got a stick of my own and everyday I would go home and make myself a better player. Countless hours of wall ball and shooting at a fence have gotten me to where I am today. The fast paced game was exhilarating and could not be compared to any other sport. Wrestling is somewhat slow but those 6 minutes on the mat, fatiguing my muscles, is where I push myself past my limit and I translate this to lacrosse because in reality, the only limit you have is the one that you have set for yourself.
