Henry Ontiveros '17 Recruiting Profile

I want to be a part of a program that puts in hard work day in and day out on the field, and in the classroom.  No partying after big wins or sulking after losses, just putting in 110% effort every single day for four years.
In my freshman season on varsity I took 95% of the faceoffs and had a 68% winning percentage.  
To describe myself as a player would be no different than describing me as a student, son, brother, etc. I am committed to excellence. I am a born competitor who will fight each game like my life depends on it because I have trained myself to believe that it does. I can be a driving force behind the effort of the team to win championships. In my freshman year of high school I came into a team that had never had a winning record or a county championship. As a faceoff middie I scored 27 goals in 17 games and led the team to an 11-4 record and a county semifinal. I earned my 6th MVP award in 8 seasons.
This year I have recruited members of the freshman class who don't play club lacrosse to attend a mini, unofficial practice with myself as a "coach" twice a week from September until the season starts. 
I will be attending Maverik Showtime Lacrosse (July 6-9) and Maryland Lacrosse Showcase (July 25-26)
