Patrick Kesterson '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'0" goaltender from St. Louis, MO. and currently the starting varsity goaltender for my high school, Chaminade College Prep. I have been playing on the high school varsity level since my freshman year. My club/travel experience includes AAA as well as Central States Developmental AA since 2004. I have had the opportunity to play in many major tournaments such as Silver Stick, USA Hockey Nationals, Montreal Mania, Shanahan, Blackhawk Charity, & Hockey Night in Boston as well as in many cities across North America. All of these venues have given me an opportunity to experience a number of different levels of play and provided me a chance to showcase my abilities. I feel that I am a team player, show leadership both on/off the ice and am coachable. I provide my best effort on a consistent basis, am willing to work hard, and have sought outside help to improve my technique. Ideally I would like to attend a smaller institution in the mid west or east (rural or urban setting) with a small teacher-student class ratio. My long-term goal is to enter into the field of digital media/film art/game design. The institution should have not only have my desired curriculum but provide opportunities to gain hands on experience in and out of the classroom. I feel that I have experienced a well-rounded high school experience (athletics, fine arts, challenging curriculum, community service, & leadership opportunities) that will give me a solid foundation to succeed on the college level both in the classroom and on the ice.
