I am currently playing Junior A hockey for the Melville Millionaires in the SJHL. My main goal is to get better every day until I have reached my final goal of a Division 1 scholarship. Last season I played for the Lloydminster Bobcats in the AJHL, where I received 'most dedicated player.' I played for the Minot Minotauros, in the NAHL, the year before that. I have had two pretty solid seasons of junior hockey, despite injury problems. I broke my collar-bone my first season, and sprained my ankle my second season. I take my offseason training very seriously and keep my conditioning and weight up throughout the season. 3 seasons ago I played for the East Ridge Raptors in Woodbury, Minnesota. It was varsity hockey and I was the leading goal scorer, and assist leader. We played in the Suburban East Conference. . . I have been around pro hockey players my whole life, in fact my dad, Wes Walz, played for the Minnesota Wild from 2000-2007 and was an assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning. I also take school very seriously, and am in several honors classes including Anatomy Physiology Honors and Spanish 3 honors. I am a very hard and dedicated worker in everything I do ON and OFF the ice.
