My name is Brandon Cottrell and I have played two years of juniors in the Maritime hockey league. My junior year of high school I was voted team captian. My last year of juniors I was voted assistant cpatain. I am a two way forward. I like the passing, shooting game. My first priority is to take care of our defensive zone. I like a big, physical, and fast paste game. I have played in the Michigan Developmental Hockey League and I was invited to the 2nd round of Michigan Selects. I have played in the Silver Sticks and the Motor City Cup tournament. This past summer I also played in the Meijer State Games. I hope to continue to play a fast, physical game at a higher level of hockey. One thing that seperates me from the rest of the players is that I respect the game and I don't care how pretty the goal is.
I plan on attending college after I graduate in 2013. I would like to study something with business, marketing/management. And possibly a minor in food science, Ideally I would like to attend a school in a bigger city. A school that has financial assistance will be important to both my family and I.
