My goal for college is to be able to be tested in the classroom as well as on the course. Education is important to me because it will give me a head start on a career of my choice. Furthermore, golf is my passion and I want to be tested to great heights so that I can become the most confident, focused player on the course during competition. The main reason why I want to play golf in college is because I love to compete, whether it’s in a tournament or even during practice.
One skill I have that makes me a good candidate for any team is that I am an encourager. I genuinely like watching my teammates succeed. I help them stay positive when they are struggling with their game, and I also complement them when they are performing well to build on their momentum. I know that I appreciate when a teammate does the same for me. Another skill I have when participating in team sports is focus. I am always focused on the prize and will do my best to make sure my teammates are as well.
What sets me apart from other recruits is that I have played football for the last 9 years. I played varsity these last couple years for high school. Having played in a team sport for that long, I have come to learn what being a true team is. Being a team is like being in a family of brothers, where we hold each other accountable for our mistakes, and also build each other up which will lead to a successful season. I am also a diligent worker in the classroom and believe in keeping my grades up. I enjoy learning about interesting subjects like Biology for example. I’m curious about how life was created and how it works. Learning is an opportunity to continually improve.
