I started playing golf with my family during our summer trips to Eastern Washington when I was 10, and after a few summers I discovered that I really had a passion for the sport. I tried out for the high school golf team my freshmen year, and was excited that I made the varsity team immediately. Now, going into my senior year, and 4th year as a varsity player for Arlington High School, I am excited about what the future holds.
My passion is not just for winning tournaments, although that is my goal, I love the game and I have alot fun. I like to encourage my fellow teammates, and all other golfers on the course so we all succeed together. I have developed several friendships on the course with fellow golfers from within Washington state during tournaments, both at the high school level and during the summer tours with WJGA. I also enjoy teaching younger golfers about the principals of the game at golf clinics hosted by the Boys and Girls Club's of America - Arlington and Desert Aire Golf Course.
My desire is to play golf at the college level to see how far I can go. During my college years, I plan on pursuing a career in the medical field, preferably sports medicine. I know my grades are not as strong as I would like them, but I am working hard on improving them by the end of my senior year.
To sum up, I am a very hard worker, I enjoy a challenge and look at ways to improve my game at every hole. I do not get discouraged after a bad round, instead I head to straight to the range and work out the issues until I feel I have them corrected. I placed 2nd in our 3A district for WIAA, 2 years as 1st team all league/conference, was awarded the "Outstanding Sportsmanship" medal at the 3A State Championships for WIAA, and have placed within the top 3 for WJGA tournaments several times.
I believe I would make a great addition to your team with my golf performance level, work ethic and positive attitude. Lets have a good time and win some tournaments!
