David Pryde '10 Recruiting Profile

My name is David Pryde and I am a senior at Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas. I am 6'3'' and 185 pounds. I have played at the 5A varsity level for the past three years, starting when I was 14 years old. I have been the co-captain my sophomore and junior years and am now the captain of the varsity. My team respects me and often looks up to me for swing tips, helpful suggestions, and anything else they need on and off the course. I am great at getting along with anyone and love to meet new people and especially compete at or above my level. I skipped the first grade and have been behind my teammates by at least a full year in age in every sport I have played my whole life. This has not been a problem due to my size and love of competition. There is no challenge I will not attempt and I love testing my limits to see the best I can be. My preference in school would be a mid to large school, however, I have no problem attending a smaller or private college. I have lived in Texas for the majority of my life and enjoyed it quite a bit. Exploring other states would be enjoyable as well, maybe I could experience playing golf without having to deal with 20 mph swirling winds. I would have no complaints about that whatsoever. My desired major at this point in time is psychology, with a minor in business or marketing. My goals as a golfer are to play throughout college and attempt to play on a mini tour. If I continue to grind and work on my game as much as I have in the past year, I am completely confident I can achieve these and unlock my true potential as a golfer.
