August 2013Personal Statement
I am a Senior at Crockett High School in Crockett, Texas. Golf has always been a family past time and an important part of my life.
I entered my first tournament when I was 11 years old, and it was then that I realized that golf was more than a game, it was my passion. Since that time I have been involved in various junior high and high school golf events. As a junior, I placed in every event that my team participated in, and led my team to the State Tournament.
Education has always been a priority, and even as a student athlete involved in basketball, baseball and golf, I have been able to maintain a 3.25 GPA. I understand that academics must continue to be a priority and I look forward to the challenges associated with being a student first and an athlete second.
I look forward to pursuing my dream of being involved with a university that will enhance my educational and golf aspirations.
