Personal Statement

I believe hard work and dedication are essential for success. I know I can accomplish anything if I put my mind to it. All my dedication, and ambition goes toward getting recruited to play college golf, because that has been my dream for over seven years. Over time I've climbed many mountains on and off the golf course. My collegiate goals are to earn a degree in business finance, and to graduate with honors. Bringing my team a National Championship is something else I will be striving for. I will continue to keep stretching, keep driving, keep digging, and continue to keep pushing myself. Regardless of the situation or the predicament, I will never stop going after what I want. Nothing in life is given to me, if i want something I go after it. Multiple younger student athletes look up to me as their role model. Any extra time I have left after practice, I share my golfing knowledge and techniques to the kids wanting to be just like me. The differences between other recruits and me is that I learn from my failures, and embrace the pain that comes with my failures. Also I am self taught. I have never received coaching from anyone but myself. Being self motivated and self disciplined is another trait that separates me from other recruits. There is nothing that drives me more than failing. I am aware that failure is going to accrue during my life, but no matter how many times I fail, I will never give up on my aspirations. If I fall down, I will get back up, and will let nothing set me back.

  • Biggest tournament of the summer for the STPGA wasn't easy to get into. They only take the top 12 out of austin and I was in 12th place the week before but luckily there was a tournament at grey rock that I barley got into and ended up wining which gave me some points and put me in 9th place securing me a spot in the championship. The first day I was in the zone shooting a solid three under on the front nine but i kinda lost it on the back and shot 1 over which put me two under totall 70. Sitting tied for second going into the second wasn't to bad. The second day was very nerve racking and it never helps when putts aren't dropping but I kept it togther and ended shooting a 76 on the second day which put me two over total for both days. A 146 put me in a tie for third but with a score card play off I ended up getting 5th at the end of the day
