Going to the Texas 6-A Regional golf tournament my first two years of high school has been amazing. I played against some very talented golfers who have inspired me to work harder on my game. I have learned very valuable traits from my fellow team mates and coaches. They have shown me how to be humble in victory and how to push harder after defeat. They have taught me how to face adversity and accept and benefit from criticism. Leadership is one quality of many that I possess that can separate me from others. My team mates and coaches recognize this and have made me the captain of the team.
Intelligence, perseverance, honesty, sportsmanship, integrity, and responsibility are all characteristics that college athletes should have, and these are characteristics I feel I can bring to the team. I am one of the top 10 students in my class of over 700. I currently have a 4.53 GPA on a 4.0 scale. I not only work hard on my golf game, but I excel in the classroom and push myself academically. My academic core classes are all AP or dual enrollment that can transfer for college credit. Finally, I am a team player. I will do whatever it takes to make the team better as well, as myself. This is just a little bit about me, and to coaches out there I hope we will be in contact soon.
