I am competing in High School and made the varsity tournaments as a sophomore. This was based purely on mechanics and desire, but as I mature in the game I am learning the mental scorecard is the step to compete in collegiate golf. I love to practice my shots but now I'm learning to practice between my ears (cultivate a mental approach to the game that will enable you to shrug off the bad days, keep patient and know in your heart that sooner or later you will be back on top: Arnold Palmer). My goals is to use my physical skills and mental approach to lead my team and finish my Senior year at a state. I am a leader, quiet in nature but lead by my actions, which is what i think golf and team golf is about.
Golf is second in my life, academics is first. I enjoy golf through the benefits of a good family and I know it is only a game. I will enjoy golf all my life and savor tournament golf in college and after college, but as my family has taught me an education makes my golfing possible. As a Junior, I'm still deciding my career path in medical, engineering or course design, honestly it is something I hope will become clearer as I mature. What ever my career, I will go to college and collegiate golf would make my college education a spectacular experience, memorable and fruitful in what ever I choose as an adult in life.
