Eli Freeman '16 Recruiting Profile

I was introduced to the game of golf by my dad at the age of six. As a child I played multiple sports, but golf became my passion and I have pursued it vigorously with the full intention of playing at the highest possible level. I have had tremendous support from my family throughout my golfing journey thus far. Golf has taught me many lessons including patience, determination, sportsmanship, and above all else, good character. These same traits that I have developed through golf, I utilize in the classroom as well as in my extra-curricular activities which consist of playing the violin in my school orchestra, volunteer tutoring at the local elementary schools, and participating in church events. As a Freshman and Sophomore I received the Offseason Dedication award from my golf coach. As a Freshman, I also received the academic award for mathematics. This past year, I was the captain of my high school golf team. I feel that this leadership experience will benefit me as I continue maturing in both golf and life.
