John Moss 9th grade Personal Statement
My name is John Moss, jr. My graduation year is 2020, so i am currently a freshman.
I have played golf my whole life so far. My first competitive round was when i was five years old. I love tournament day!
In the state of SC, we do not have middle school golf so i tried out for the HS team and made the team as a 7th grader. I have become very familiar with the courses and distances that we play at this level. I am playing with a lot of confidence this year.
My goals going into this 2016-2017 school year: (1) Continue to excel in the classroom. (2) Learn what it takes to be a leader on my golf team from the Jr's and Sr's. (3) Help my team advance in the conference, regional, and state level tournaments. (4) Focus on one shot at a time. (5) Putting myself in position to play college golf in the future!
For any coaches following my profile, the thing you may not know about me is, i am just as competitive in the classroom as i am on the golf course. I have a strong sense of self belief. This has been instilled in me by parents. I always feel like i belong here, even though i am usually the youngest guy in the foursome.
