My passion for golf started before middle school and has grown each year as a golf team member and individual golfer. I was recently voted as the high school Team Captain during my sophomore year by my team mates and coaches. I spend several hours every day on the course, nearly year-round, to improve my skills. The Team Captain experience has helped build my leadership, course management, knowledge of the rules, passion for the game and drive to win a team and individual state championship in North Carolina.
Our team competed in the High School State Championship Tournament this year (my sophomore year). I also participate in multiple regional tournaments each year as an individual to broaden my experience with other courses in NC, SC, and FL. This summer I will be competing in the USJAC Qualifier in Athens Georgia and hope to compete in the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
I currently maintain a 4.40 grade point average in high school honors classes and practice and compete in golf every day. It is this schedule and my parent’s guidance at an early age that has taught me the meaning of dedication and hard work in order to achieve my goals.
