PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am looking for a challenging academic school with a competitive golf program so that I can continue to play golf on a high level while pursuing a Business Administration/ Marketing Degree. I am goal-oriented, self-disciplined, hard working and mentally tough which is evidenced by how quickly I have continued to lower my golf Handicap and at the same time manage a rigorous college preparatory curriculum maintaining a 4.1250 weighted GPA. I have been playing tournament golf for less than three years and have achieved my goal of making the Hough High School golf team my sophomore year when I set my sights the year prior. I continue to work with my golf instructor to improve my skills and mental game. 

STRENGTHS

My strengths of my golf game include driving, accuracy with my irons, and putts within 10 feet. I have committed to practicing short wedges; which has become a huge strength of my game. My work ethic is something that separates me from my competitors, and I have reduced my scoring average by 15-20 strokes within the last couple of years of playing tournament golf.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

In addition to golf, I played soccer for 10 years with a high level travel team. Our team was the top ranked team with tournament wins throughout the southeast. I enjoy all sports, and have played competitive tennis and YMCA basketball.

MY GOLF GAME WILL CONTINUE TO IMPROVE BECAUSE: I am very determined and will never give up a chance to practice my game whether it's late at night or in a downpour. Another reason why my game will continue to improve is because I can adapt very quickly to technical and mental coaching, dedicate the time and energy to achieve my goals, and my competitive drive is unequaled.
