Preston Nutt '12 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Preston Nutt. I am a Senior at Piedra Vista High School in Farmington, New Mexico. Thank you for taking the time to stop on my page. The achievements I am most proud of would be making Varsity team and going to State my Freshman year. I also made it to State my Sophomore year taking 5th place and giving the reigning champ a run for first. I also made the All-State team as a Sophomore and the All-District team both my Freshman and Sophomore years. Currently, I have earned all four legs for State qualifications for Spring 2011, after coming back from a broken collarbone in August. I feel my game is better than ever. I can offer leadership and drive. I've been a team captain and co-captain since my Freshman year. I thrive under pressure and consider myself a supportive team player. I strive to be the best at everything I do and I will work diligently in all aspects of my education. In fact, I have been in the Gifted and Talented Program at school ever since the beginning of 8Th grade. I am highly interested in pursuing a career in Golf. I also have interests in Computer Animation and Business. My ideal college is a Division 1 school like OU and UT but would consider Division 2 or 3 schools as well. My goal is to play my best game, make an impact in a positive way on a team and bring a championship to the school I would play for. I will always give 110% everyday and make sure I am always on my game. In fact, I am one of the top golfers in my district. I am currently a part-time employee for Pinon Hills Golf Course, Farmington, NM. I find that working at a golf course has been rewarding in many ways. I have full course privileges, so I am out golfing whenever I am not in school or working. I have been told that I am a gentleman and outstanding golfer by many other golfers that have seen me play. In the past I volunteered to help at the Women's Golf tournament, Pinon Hills Golf Course, Farmington, NM. Please stop by again for updates on my progress. Thank you. Update: I won my District tournament making me District Champ and got 15th alone at state missing tie for 9th by 1 stroke and tie for 5th by 2 strokes.
