Alex Syverson '16 Recruiting Profile

Golfing is a passion for me.  I have aspirations to play golf at the collegiate level and receive a quality education at the same time.  Although I started playing golf with my parents at age 3, over the past three years I have dedicated myself both during the golf season and during the "off" season in Minnesota.  Playing major two-day events has certainly helped me to improve not only the physical aspect of my game, but more importantly, the mental aspect of my game.  Although a challenging process, it certainly has made me a more mature golfer to have an occasional humbling round but manage to rebound and score well.  I have been a leader on the golf course, on the ice rink, in student government, and in our community.  I aspire to continue to expand my leadership opportunities throughout my college experience.  I am looking for an educational institution and community that will challenge my growth academically, socially, and personally.  I also am looking for a golf team community with a sense of "family".
