Jared Lyons '16 Recruiting Profile

Good GPA.  Over 4.0. I have never needed to use tutor.  And receive very little assistance from my parents to manage my time and/or study.  
Even though we live in a cold climate for much of the year, we do have indoor practice facilities nearby.  I take lessons with a professional in Dec and Jan to make necessary swing changes/improvements.  Then, continue to practice these changes until HS golf practices start in March.  I have been practicing 4 to 5 times per week all winter for 1- 1.5hrs each day.  
Last year after the HS golf season, I played 4 Adams Tour events to learn about playing on a tour and further hone my skills to compete.
I played travel baseball prior to golf (75 games/yr).  I took many pitching and hitting lessons.  I believe that is some of the reason I have been able to progress so quickly in golf.   I quit baseball for golf.  That was 4 years ago.  So, I have not been playing golf as long as many of my fellow competitors.  Therefore, I feel I must put in more time practicing to catch up.
