My name is Max Palmer and I am a Senior at Detroit Catholic Central. I have been playing golf ever since I was a young kid and I have competitively played golf since I was 9 years old. I have played in many AJGA events, while also playing local tournaments. I have been on the Varsity Golf Team at my school since my Sophomore year. Our Golf Team won the Division 1 State Championship. I came in 8th place at the state tournament shooting 70-80. I played in a few AJGA tournaments this summer. I came in T19 at the Coca Cola Boyne Highlands Championship shooting 74-73-82. I was in T5 after two rounds. I also qualified for The Memorial at Ohio State shooting 64 and getting 2nd. I played in the U.S. Amateur Qualifier at Walnut Creek Country Club. I came in 11th place shooting 72-75. I played in the Michigan Jr. Am. this summer. I qualified for match play getting the 27 seed. I played the 6 seed in the first round and beat him 3&1. My goal is to find a college that has a competitive golf team along with good academics.
