Benjamin Thibault '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Benjamin Thibault and I am determined to play golf in college. I am currently a junior, and co-captain of the Varsity Golf Team, at the University of Detroit Jesuit High School in Detroit, Michigan. I would like to play golf in college because ever since I was a little boy it has been my dream to play a college level sport. I have only been golfing for five years and have improved tremendously with very little formal assistance. This fall I started working with a coach who is taking my game to the next level. I will continue working with him throughout summer and next year to ensure that I am doing what I need to do to compete at the highest level. I believe that I would bring great leadership and a good work ethic to a college golf team. I have always loved playing on a team. I love the competition, camaraderie, the respect and motivation that a good team and coach can bring to each member. I understand that I might be a little late in the development of my passion and pursuit of playing college level golf, but I am working towards a great high school season and a great summer full of tournaments. I hope that the results will inspire opportunities for me to play in college at the Division I, II, or III level.
