Dear college golf coach,
My goal is to play golf in college and I think I could be a great member of your team. I started learning the game of golf when I was 7 years old. Although I played golf during the summers, my main sports were lacrosse and football during middle school. In my freshman year of high school, I tried out for golf and made the varsity team. It was then that I began to focus on my skills and improve my game. In two years I have reduced my handicap from a 12 to a 1 and am still improving.
My greatest strength is my long game. I feel no course is too long for me which gives me a big advantage over other players. My weaknesses would be my short game and wedge control. I have grown 4 inches in the last two years which has made it hard to perfect my distance control. Now that I have stopped growing at 6"4, I can focus my efforts to tightening up my shortgame and controling my wedges better. I hope to get the opportunity to talk with you and if you have any questions please contact me.
Sincerely,
Carter Connelly
