Initial Introduction - Hello. My name is Evan Welsh. I am currently in my Junior year at Bethesda Chevy-Chase High School in Maryland and have been on the varsity golf team since I was a freshman.  After I graduate from college I want to be a consistent winner on the PGA Tour and am working hard to achieve my goal.  I will be getting my license soon and that will give me more opportunity to practice.  I am dedicated to achieving these lofty aspirations I have set for myself. I have been golfing for as long as I can remember, spending many days after school and weekends playing at local clubs to improve my strength, focus and accuracy.  I have taken multiple lessons throughout the years from many PGA professionals and hope if I am given the chance, that I can prove I would be an asset to a college team.   I currently shoot about 80 and that is mostly due to my own dedication and practice.  I have improved 3 shots over last year's season and currently I drive the ball about 270 on average.  My grades are not where they should be.  Even though my parents told me, I did not realize how important my GPA would be in helping me get into college.  I am working very hard to improve and am committed to working on golf and academics equally. I am an honest, hard working, responsible, mature young man.  I own my own pet-sitting business and volunteer for the Salute Military Golf Association golf clinics which are designed for injured soldiers who are in the middle of recovery.
