Aaron Owen '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Aaron Owen, and I love the game of golf!!  I play 110 percent all the time and do what my coaches tell me to do. I put on my trust in God to strengthen me in every aspect of any game. I listen in the classroom and work hard. I do what my teachers tell me to do so I can give my best effort on all of my work.

My dream is to play golf at the collegiate level, while pursuing a degree in education, business, or music production. I was raised on the golf course, and have played since the age of  2. I currently hold the course record of 64 at Deer Lakes Golf Course in Salem, KY. The most exciting moment I have had in my golf career is winning the Regional All A Golf Tournament in 2012. Playing in the All A KY State Tournament was a dream come true!! My goal  was to be there again this year!! This goal was accomplished! My team won the All A Region 2 Championship and placed 10th overall in the All A State Championship. I finished 27/122 with a 80. The annual CCHS Invitational was held September 14, and I finished 7th with a 78.  My team finished 2nd at  the Pennyrile Conference Championship. I was co-medalist with a 38 (9 holes). My most recent wins have been on October  12-13, at Two Rivers Golf in Nashville. I won the Boys High School Division, with a 74/76. I also took the championship at the KY PGA Junior Tour Fall Classic in Lexington October 19-20. I shot a 73/71 (Par 71), lowest score of all age divisions. I played in the Golf Week JR Invitational Match Play event Nov. 30-Dec.1, a Blue vs. White event. The blue team were boys from KY, TN, and surrounding states. The white team were boys from IN, Michigan and surrounding states. The BLUE team WON!
