When I first started getting serious about golf, there was nothing that would stop me from practicing all day. My willingness to get better over the past five years included personal sessions with my swing coach, James Sieckmann. This has made me a better player because of the time I was willing to put into my game and incorporate his teachings, along with participating in local, regional, and national tournaments each year through the FCWT, AJGA, and the Iowa and Nebraska Junior PGA. Through my hard work, I have consistently improved my game and will continue doing so through college and beyond.
I would be a good candidate for a team because I always look for little ways to get better and to have an edge against the field. I have very good character on and off the course. While I am playing, I am very patient and do not get angry. While I am off the course, I know that I am representing a team and carry out my actions with that in mind.
My academics mirror my golf game. I am always trying to be the best I can be and to get better and learn new things everyday. I know that I could be a very good player just by continuing what I am doing and putting in the extra work to make the small things come together.
I have always wanted to play at the collegiate level. I have very high collegiate goals which include competing as a golf team member as well as attaining a business degree that will carry me through the rest of my life.
