April 2013Personal Statement
I have been playing golf for almost 6 years. I have been on the Varsity team since freshman year and have been fortunate to go to Regionals each year; as an individual my freshman and junior year and with my team as a sophomore and senior. During my senior year, although as a team we missed advancing to the State Championship by 1 stroke, I placed 2nd out of a field of 105 to advance individually. I was named to the All County and All Conference teams my sophomore, junior and senior year. I was also recognized and will represent my high school this year as an Athlete of Character.
I am hardworking, dedicated to the game and never get tired of working on my game. Currently, my handicap is 1 and my game continues to improve. I know that I can add consistency and a strong work ethic to your team. My grade point average is a 3.8 and I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the course. I don't show a lot of emotion and do better under pressure situations. I love to compete and to play golf at the college level and get a great education would be a dream come true.
