My interest in golf started in 2006 when I attended my first Junior Golf Summer Camp. I immediately realized that I enjoyed the game and wanted to pursue playing at the highest level possible.
Over the course of the past 7 years I have split my time playing both golf & baseball 12 months a year. Since the age of 14 I've dedicated the majority of my time to playing golf while also pitching part-time for several travel baseball teams and playing 1 year of H.S. baseball. I have found that both pitching and golf are similar in the amount of focus needed to be successful and the amount of frustration one has to learn to overcome. One sport helps me to be able to deal with the other very well. Since the age of 12 I've accumulated a significant amount of tournament experience by playing throughout the State of Florida on the Florida Junior Tour - Hurricane Junior Tour - South Florida PGA Junior Tour - Treasure Coast Junior Tour - and Atlantic Junior Tour Series. My on the road experience is also extensive. I am quite used to playing 3-4 tournaments per month and have been traveling in & out of state for events in both sports since the age of 11.
I am a 4 year H.S. Varsity Golf Team member @ Sebastian River H.S. in Sebastian, FL. I was team captain my Junior & Senior years along with being named MVP. Our H.S. team qualified for Regionals my Freshman & Senior years. I also qualified for Regionals as an individual my Junior season. I was recently named to the ALL-Area 2014 High School 1st Team.
This past 2014 H.S. season my overall 9 hole scoring average was 37.15 -- My overall 18 hole scoring average is 76 -- My Handicap Index is 1.3 and will be updated again late Nov.2014 -- My personal low 18 hole round is 69 shot October 2014. My low tournament round is 71 shot Nov. 2014. My strengths are my length off the tee and my iron play. I am quite capable of playing 7,000 plus yards and have already done so on occasion. I realize that my short game needs to improve with putting leading the way as my main focus. I have very recently improved my putting by undergoing an extensive session on The Sam Putt Analysis System. This analysis has just helped me to post my 2 lowest scores ...69 personal round 71 tournament round .
As a Student, I have worked hard and maintained an A/B Honor Roll G.P.A. throughout Middle School & High School as well as Elementary School.
When I'm not busy doing schoolwork or golfing, I work @ Quail Valley G.C. in Vero Beach, Fla. in the Member/Player Assistance Dept.
I truly feel that with my Junior Golf Tournament experience and continuing to work hard to improve my short game that I would be a significant addition to a competitive collegiate golf program.
