My goal has been to play college golf since middle school at which time I developed a great passion for the game of golf. I feel like it teaches you so many things about life. I like the competition against the course, but also the team concept of golf. I want to be part of helping a team win a championship at the collegiate level. My team placed state runner-up in Alabama during my freshman year which was the best finish in school history. For 2016, our goal is winning the state championship. I love competing with my team mates during qualifiers to push harder toward that goal.
I think being on a very competitive golf team in high school is helping me build character. I practice hard but find I have to sometime be patient for the rewards. This has been my toughest year with golf and academics as a junior at Homewood High school. I have played four two-day tournaments to date during the regular golf season and currently in the top five on my team. As we enter post season play, time management skills become more important. My freshman year we finished 2nd in state and built good foundation to know how best to balance school, practice and play.
