I have a strong passion for the game of basketball. I thoroughly enjoy the preparation side of the equation and strive to take that effort onto the court when it's time to compete. I focus on being a good teammate and take the leadership role very seriously.
While I have been told I have a quick release on my jump shot and shoot a very high percentage, I also know there's much more work to do. I have been fortunate enough to be invited to the Drake, Northern Iowa, and Northern Illinois advanced camps and have received outstanding feedback from coaches as to what I have to improve on to be able to play on the next level (college).
I have three immediate goals for the end of my junior year and the summer before senior year. First, I want to make good strides in the classroom for the 2nd semester and get a better score on the ACT exam. Secondly, I want to help my high school team make it to the State tournament (last year we fell one game short). Thirdly, I want to continue the success our AAU team had last spring/summer and continue to improve my skills.
Academics. I am on course for graduation in a college prep curricuum. I already have met my foreign language requirement as well as science. By the close of my senior year, I will have 4+ years worth of English and Math completed. I will have an Advanced Placement course in History. I currently have a 2.85 GPA and intend to reach 3.0 I recently took the ACT exam and I will know the results shortly (test taken Feb 7, 2015).
