My goal for college is to enjoy the experience, make new friends, play basketball and graduate with a degree that will help me get a good job that I like.
I would be a good candidate for your team because I have always been a plus to the teams I have played on. I've played summer select (AAU) and school teams up through my junior year in high school and I've helped every team I've played on win the vast majority of our games. The best parts of my game are defense and rebounding, but I can score too. My sophomore year on JV I scored 18 points a game. Junior year on varsity I started for a 21-2 team that won the Classic 8 championship. I led the conference in rebounding and more than held my own defensively playing out of position (center) on a team that started four guards and me. As a junior I made Honorable Mention All Conference and Honorable Mention All Suburban Area. I'm a team player who does what it takes to win, setting strong screens, making great outlet passes, playing good ballside and helpside defense, whatever it takes.
What makes me different is I can play and click with literally anyone on the court and off the court. I see myself as a leader and my coaches have always seen me as one. I work hard lifting weights and working on my game all year round. In the classroom I'm a solid student who does his homework every day and studies hard. To really understand what makes me different you could talk to any of the coaches I have had over the last 8-10 years. I've had more than one coach tell me I should get into coaching when my playing is over.
