Personal Statement

My name is Mark Nelson and I am a starting left handed point guard for Monona Grove High School. At 6'4" and 185 pounds I am a very skilled, knowledgeable, and talented player, I run the point guard and aspire to be the general on the court. I am a excellent shooter as well, and believe I bring a unique combination of dribbling, shooting, and excellent passing to the team. I am also a true gym rat and student of the game. In addition I am an elite student who maintains a 3.969 GPA. Given that I am a relatively late bloomer maturation-wise, I expect to continue growing and maturing physically. I have an excellent work ethic and drive for excellence, and my goal is to bring all of the above qualities at the collegiate level.

This 2012-2013 season, I helped my team accomplish the Conference Title.  I have also earned the honor of First Team All Conference as a junior.  I was one of 2 underclassmen on the first team.

This season I broke the record for the most 3-point shots made in a season.  I made 63 3-point shots.

If you are looking for a guard who can shoot, handle the ball, set up other players, and who has an outstanding work ethic, I'm your guy!  Give me a call or Email!
