Personal Statement My name is Sean Clarey and I am a 6-03 junior at Brookfield Academy in Brookfield, WI (Suburb of Milwaukee). I am a three year starter on the varsity where I earned 2nd Team All Midwest Classic Conference honors as a freshman. As a Sophomore I was a unanimous 1st Team All Midwest Classic Conference selection and led the state of Wisconsin in 3pt shots made(90). Thanks in large part to the success of my team I finished the season tied for the scoring title. I was selected All-Area, All-Suburban and All-County (Honorable Mention). During my Sophomore year we finished the regular season 14-8 and 12-4 in the conference; and earned a #3 seed in the WIAA state playoffs. We defeated the number 8th ranked team in the state and won the Regional Championship. We eventually lost to the state champs Dominican HS. This season I earned First Team All Midwest Classic Conference and our team finished a perfect 18-0 in the conference. We lost in the regional championship game and finished the season 21-3. I was named the Player of the Year in the Midwest Classic Conference and again won the scoring title and led the state in 3's made (92). I was selected to the All-State Team, All-Area, All-Suburban and All-County teams, I have three younger brothers, all of whom play basketball. I love to work out and in my free time play golf. It is my dream to play college basketball and follow in the footsteps of my mom and dad who also played college basketball. Brookfield Academy is an extremely strong academic institution that is nationally recognized for its high level of curriculum. I feel because of this type of environment that combines tough academics and a competitive basketball program, I will be prepared for the next level. I am open to different types of colleges and universities as well as no one particular region of the country. My ideal college will be one that emphasizes academics and athletics as well as a social element where I can grow as a person. At this moment I have not selected a major but I am leaning towards math or engineering.
